Legal structures for capital protection — trusts, private foundations, holding companies, and purpose entities — are only as effective as their governance. Pixelupixel advises on structural design from a wealth-preservation standpoint, working alongside qualified Kenyan and international legal counsel who handle the formal documentation. Our role is to define the objectives, identify the most appropriate structural form, stress-test the design against relevant scenarios (creditor challenge, family dispute, regulatory change, succession), and oversee the integration of the structure with existing insurance wrappers, investment accounts, and real-estate holdings. We do not draft legal documents and we do not provide legal opinions — we provide the financial-planning and risk-management layer that makes the legal work purposeful and coherent. Clients often arrive with structures that were established years ago and have never been reviewed; we frequently find that the original objectives are no longer served by the current arrangement.

The most common triggers for a structural review engagement at Pixelupixel are: a significant liquidity event (business sale, property disposal, inheritance); a change in family composition (marriage, divorce, birth of a beneficiary); a planned cross-border relocation; or the death or incapacity of a trustee or key-person. In each case, the existing structure may be technically intact but functionally misaligned with the new reality. We conduct a written structural assessment — typically 15 to 25 pages — that identifies misalignments, recommends structural adjustments, and maps the sequencing of changes required. Legal counsel is engaged separately by the client; we specify what needs to change and why, so that legal fees are directed efficiently and no time is spent on documents that do not serve the agreed objective.
